Zimbabwe will cull 200 elephants as it faces severe drought leading to food shortages. The meat from these elephants will be distributed to people struggling to feed themselves. Neighbouring namibia also carried out a Wildlife Cull last month due because of the drought. Zimbabwe is home to an estimated 100,000 elephants the second largest population in the world after botswana. Zimbabwes last cull was more than 35 years ago. Three years after Sarah Everard was murdered by a serving Police Officer, the detective who led the Murder Inquiry has spoken about the case on camera for the first time. Dci Katherine Goodwin told the bbc about her shock at finding out their Chief Suspect worked for the metropolitan police. She said to her boss youre not going to believe this. Last week an independent inquiry found that chances to stop wayne couzens, who abducted, raped and killed Sarah Everard, were repeatedly missed and he should never have been given a job as a Police Officer.
