The U.S. government has rejected former Twitter owner Elon Musks request to end oversight of the companys data privacy and security practices. The government argues that Musk should testify about the companys conduct since he has "first-hand knowledge" of the issues being investigated. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has been monitoring Twitter since a 2011 consent order, and its concerns escalated after Musk took over.

Indian ed-tech company Byjus has been accused of hiding $533 million in a hedge fund founded by William C. Morton, who allegedly had no formal training in investing. The fund, Camshaft Capital Fund, listed its principal business address as an IHOP pancake restaurant in Miami, according to court papers.
