1X, an AI and robotics company, announced it had secured $100 million in Series B funding to develop humanoid robots for consumers.

1X has raised €100mn to bring a household humanoid to the market. Named Neo, the robot bears a strong resemblance to Tesla's Optimus.

1X says its NEO android is being developed with embodied AI to handle household tasks and be safe to operate around consumers.

1X Technologies has deployed one AI android for enterprises and plans to bring another to homes for domestic chores.
