Another motivation behind this book is also the reason why Martin had to take an early retirement from his work in the aerospace manufacturing industry: His son was diagnosed with cancer in 2017. It was the power of imagination, storytelling and make-believe that kept the family s spirits high and helped them get through the toughest of times. At home or in the hospital, Martin wants this story to bring joy to children with cancer and help them grow stronger.
