At least a dozen rising young Black business operators will display their products and services – and pay tribute to some of Ocala s earlier West Ocala business leaders – at a pop-up event on Saturday.
Organizing the event is LaQuanitia Webb, 29, who operates an Italian Ice and dessert food trailer called Twizted Sipz & Treatz.
Webb previously organized a Juneteeth celebration to benefit the community.
The day-long event, which also will feature food and crafts, is meant to promote awareness of Black businesses in West Ocala, encourage unity, and share the story of veteran entrepreneurs, who in many cases serve as mentors for the new generation.
