The Federal Communications Commission awarded $362,985,055 to 13 bidders that would provide high-speed internet access to eligible locations reaching 81 counties in Michigan. Winning bidders included Baraga Telephone Co. ($444,490); MEI Telecom, Inc. in Delton, Michigan, ($479,789); and Cherry Capital Connection, LLC in Elk Rapids ($5,620,840).
