I hadn’t expected the design of the house; a whimsical, beautiful, surprising mishmash of a place, to be so strikingly wonderful. The colours, the lighting, the way propellers moved to the gasps of wonder of my children, the swirling smoke to simulate the clouds and the amusing magical oven saw the house become the star of the show. The kids were enthralled by designer Charlotte Lane’s set.
