A Nova Scotia author who has adapted her film about a young transgender woman finding acceptance in her rural hometown says using sensitivity readers opened her eyes to a better version of the story.
A feature film that includes scenes of Antigonish Town and County has received a prestigious provincial arts award. "Dawn, Her Dad and the Tractor", has been named the winner of the $25,000 Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Award. It's the largest award for any work of art in any medium in Nova Scotia.
ComingSoon is premiering the Dawn, Her Dad & the Tractor trailer. Directed by Shelley Thompson and produced by Terry Greenlaw, the film is out March 4.
