Tesla sold 94,139 China-made electric vehicles in December, a 68.7% increase from a year earlier. Deliveries of China-made Model 3 and Model Y vehicles were up 14.2% from November.

Overall, the Chinese company sold about 3.02 million vehicles in 2023, an increase of about 62 per cent from the year prior.

India’s government said it’s not currently considering reducing taxes on imported electric vehicles, a stance that could delay Tesla Inc.’s plan to enter the market.
