Rite Aid adds 317 new free COVID-19 drive-thru test sites in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey
The new sites, which open Friday, bring the total number of testing sites Rite Aid has operating to 777 across 16 states, the company said.

CAMP HILL, Pa. Rite Aid announced Thursday that it is expanding its no-charge COVID-19 testing capabilities with 317 additional drive-through testing site locations opening across New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The new sites will open on Friday, through Rite Aid s partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the company said.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 2, 2021) Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton announced last week that University of Kentucky Assistant Vice President for Community Engagement Lisa Higgins-Hord will work to implement the Mayor’s Racial Justice and Equality Commission recommendations and other equity issues.
“We’ve made progress on implementing these recommendations, but I want to move faster by placing prominence on this work, so we are giving this effort a huge boost,” Gorton said. “Lisa is going to help us take action on these reforms.”
Higgins-Hord will oversee a City Hall team that has been working to implement the commission’s recommendations and other equity issues, while continuing her work at UK.

On Thursday, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts honored UMass Dartmouth Director of Health Services Marianne Sullivan and Director of the Fitness Center Greg Homol as the recipients of the 2020 Manuel Carballo Governor s Award for Excellence in Public Service during the virtual 36th Annual Performance Recognition Program.
Sullivan and Homol received the award for their outstanding efforts in the design, implementation, and daily execution of the UMass Dartmouth on-campus testing facility, according to a press release from the university.
The award, named in honor of the late Secretary of Human Services Manuel Carballo, is chosen directly by the Governor and given annually to 10 employees or groups of employees who exemplify the highest standards of public service.

A careful approach
Rivals in the industry have been eager to introduce aircraft relying on hydrogen as part of their sustainable initiatives. For instance, Airbus has been keen to offer the world’s first zero-emission commercial plane by the middle of the next decade. The European outfit has been experimenting with its ZEROe concept aircraft to enable it to evaluate a variety of setups and hydrogen innovations.
