Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two additional railway lines connecting Thane and Diva in Maharashtra via video conferencing on Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet trains were India's need and the Government aimed to complete the high-speed rail project at the earliest.

The work on Thane Diva 5th and 6th line has been completed successfully, CPRO CR Shivaji Sutar informed recently.

According to a senior officer of Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation, newly constructed foot-over bridge of CSMT end is 6m wide and 46 meter long. Similarly foot over bridge constructed at Kalyan end of Mumbra station is 4.2 mete width and 27 long and middle foot over is 6m wide and 24m long .

Apart from that, a 14 hours block will be also operated on the down fast line between Thane and Diva on January 23.
