Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek scored on consecutive shots in the third period Tuesday night, lifting the Minnesota Wild to a 4-2 win over the New York Islanders. Kaprizov snapped a tie by scoring a power play goal at the 6:50 mark before Pat Maroon forced a turnover by Pierre Engvall deep in the Islanders’ zone and Eriksson Ek scored.

The Minnesota Wild acquired defenseman Zach Bogosian on Wednesday in a trade with the Tampa Bay Lightning after a separate deal that sent defenseman Calen Addison to the San Jose Sharks. The Wild sent a 2025 seventh-round draft pick to the Lightning for Bogosian, a 16-year veteran who will join his fifth NHL franchise. The Wild also traded Addison to the league-worst Sharks (1-10-1) for right wing Adam Raska and a 2026 fifth-round draft pick.

Matt Boldy scored the deciding goal in the shootout and the Minnesota Wild beat the New York Rangers 5-4 after coming back from a three-goal deficit on Saturday night. Mats Zuccarello and New York’s Artemi Panarin traded goals to open the shootout before Boldy got a fortunate bounce for the winner. Boldy’s shot went off the pipe and hit Rangers goalie Jonathan Quick in the back and deflected into the net.
