A Nigerian Army soldier attached to the Special Forces of the 25 Task Force (TF) Brigade in the remote town of Damboa, Borno State has been reportedly gunned down after he went wild, killing an unarmed civilian, his fellow soldier and injuring many others. The United Nations has condemned the killing of its humanitarian worker at a military base in Borno State, northeastern Nigeria. An operational soldier went wild and killed a fellow soldier and a UN humanitarian worker. He also injured a pilot and other UN staff members in the Damboa local government area of the state. The soldier was said to have walked off his base at about 3 pm on Thursday and went on a shooting rampage using an AK-47 rifle.
