LANSDALE Do you ever feel a bit evil? But do you also wish to live in a world that is âbetter togetherâ? If so, tune in this weekend for the streamed performances of North Penn High School (NPHS) Theatre and Thespian Troupeâs production of Disneyâs Descendants, the Musical.
Disneyâs Descendants franchise was a major phenomena when it hit TV screens all over the world. The movies introduced a whole new generation of enjoyable characters and songs descended from classic Disney stories and fairy tales. Disneyâs Descendants, the Musical is full of fun, lively music that will remind you of all the childhood stories you loved and the continuation of those stories through the children of our favorite characters.

“No more fear. No more dread. No more dwelling on the danger. We’ll dare to live instead.” Starkville High School senior Gwendolynn McNutt belted out those words to the song “No More Fear” Tuesday afternoon in a dress rehearsal for the school’s upcoming production of “Freaky Friday.”
Local Thespians Advance To State Competition
Redmond Proficiency Academy (RPA) Thespian Troupe #7715 recently competed in the annual Oregon Thespians South Regional Acting Competition, winning 14 ribbons for excellence in numerous acting categories.
“In a year where it’s hard enough to complete any daily task, let alone compete via an entirely new format and yet they still took home fourteen ribbons,” Theatre Director Kate Torcom said. “It’s a testament to the tenacity and true heart of this theatre department. These students truly put themselves out there and I am pleased to see their dedication recognized.”
An all digital event this year, students were given from Feb. 6-12 to submit their acting competition videos and judges had from Feb. 13-22 to rank them and submit scores. Results were announced on Tuesday, Feb. 23 via the Oregon Thespians Instagram account.
Winter Storm Warning: More Mountain Snow Expected
Another round of mountain snow is expected to impact the region as winter storm warning is in effect from Thursday until 4:00 am Saturday. Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 20 inches possible along the Cascade crest and 3 to 8 inches in the lower elevations. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph Thursday night and Friday.
“Travel could be very difficult to impossible,” according to Accuweather. “Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Blowing snow could be an issue due to the gusty winds.”
