Since joining the times in 2017, bari has, shall we say, made some waves in the world of letters and the internet with her writing and speaking. Vanity fair recently called her the times star opinion writer and the provatuer. She would say she fits neither on the left or right. She began writing columns long ago as a student at Columbia University where she did activism around professors. She wrote and edited for the wall street journal and then joined the New York Times.
