Mike Miles Texas certification expired in 2018 after serving three years as Dallas ISD Superintendent. 

Houston news: On Thursday, Mike Miles was officially appointed as the new superintendent and sworn in Thursday morning as TEA takes control of HISD.

The Texas Education Agency named Mike Miles as Houston ISD superintendent on the first day of the takeover. The board of managers was also revealed.

Mendez Middle School, an Austin ISD campus that hasnt met state standards in years, is on track to meet most, if not all, of its goals this year.

BATON ROUGE - Democracy Prep, a charter middle school in Baton Rouge, closed Thursday due to a teacher sit-out. 

The meeting was aimed at introducing Lamar Elementary parents to Third Future.

Midland ISD will be partnering with Third Future Schools to turn Lamar into a free charter school and turn the performance around.

Mike Miles of Third Future Schools talks about plans to help student performance fast at the Baton Rouge once knew as Prescott Middle School and later, Democracy Prep. This fall, Prescott K-8 Academy will start working with students to bring up scores in 3 years.
