But the United States will not go it alone. Thats the word today from military officials who say they are preparing a list of options, a list that includes air strikes in syria. They say any new campaign against the Islamic State terrorists would involve the United States working with a team of several nations. The United States is already striking the militants in Northern Iraq but has not yet gone after them in neighboring syria.
