Somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean, probably sometime in 1866, a ship named AGRA faces a rising wind. Launched in 1862 at the redoubtable Medford, Massachusetts, yard of J.T. Foster & Co., the 174′ AGRA is still a relatively new vessel. She is of a type known as a “moderate clipper,” designed to carry more cargo at some sacrifice in speed compared to the “full” clippers, whose heyday is all but finished. Still, AGRA can move. She has turned in runs of 350 miles per day, only about 50 miles less than the fastest clipper ships. Now, as the wind gusts

down a storm drain. it took rescuers an hour to pull her to safety. monte frances joins us from the parking lot where it happened. reporter: a family friend of the woman came by here to retrieve a lot of anti-freeze from the woman s car in the parking lot. she apparently drank that anti-freeze before arguing with her family and before lifting up a 40-pound metal grate and jumping down a 15-foot hole. james cashman is holding a bottle of anti-freeze that the woman drank before she jumped into a storm drain and before her family arrived at the scene. doctors wanted to know its concentration. she is in the icu and she is hooked up to a breathing tube. we are waiting to hear back. reporter: earlier today sheriff s deputies couldn t see her but could hear her voice as they tried to coax her into view. just minutes before deputies watched as the woman struggled to lift a storm drain cover. she lost her balance and fell backwards. but when it was removed she jumped down the
