An 83-year-old California man has been found guilty for the mastermind of the 2018 murder of a podiatrist who he blamed for the death of his wife after a failed procedure.

Robert Elmo Lee was found guilty of first-degree murder “with a special circumstance of murder for financial gain” in the 2018 slaying of Dr. Thomas Shock in Lodi, the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office said.

In 2018, Shock was fatally shot in his home in Lodi. Police responding to reports of shots fired found Shock with gunshot wounds just inside his door.
