Happy Friday everyone! Theatre, sports and a spring festival in the planner this week.
While The Hipp has been quiet for some time, performances from the Hippodrome are coming to a place near you. The Hipp’s Pop-Up Series continues in what’s referred to as “Theatre Anytime Anywhere”. The traveling show featuring cabaret performances will pop up across Alachua County through June. You can catch one at the Thornebrook Village Stage tonight at 6 pm.
In Marion County, the Ocala Civic Theatre is featuring its latest production, Million Dollar Quartet. It’s a hit musical based on the 1956 jam session with Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. Shows are tonight at 7:30, Saturday at 2 and 7:30 pm, and Sunday at 2 pm. It runs through June 27th.
