Three German tourists from Bavaria are dead, the victims of one of the most dangerous avalanche seasons of recent memory in British Columbia.

Three people were killed and several injured in an avalanche west of Invermere, B.C., on Wednesday amid a deadly season for snow slides.

The accident occurred on Saturday during a meeting of bikers organised by the Knieschleifer (Kneesliders) motorcycle club at a former airfield in Brandenburg, northwest of Berlin.
