The Fitchburg Police Department is once again inviting community members to come and mingle with the people in local law enforcement during the annual summertime event National Night Out, which is also held in communities across the country.

Unity and community were themes at the forefront of the event held in the city over the weekend to commemorate Juneteenth.

Created in 1960 by then-Mayor George Bourque, Civic Days marks America’s birthday with a weeklong celebration.

The programs will be moderated by Fitchburg-Leominster All Politics (FLAP-TV) host Kevin Cormier, and available to view at fatv.org.
