The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,586 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease in Illinois, including 20 additional deaths. Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 3,065,321 cases, including 33,348 deaths, in Illinois. As of Monday night, 492 individuals in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 70 patients were in the ICU and 34 patients were on ventilators. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from March 22nd – 28th is 1.6%.
