At a press conference on the steps of Saratoga Springs City Hall Thursday, Saratoga BLM said it was looking into filing a class action lawsuit against the city of Saratoga Springs, as well as determining whether it can file charges against former officials and calling for an overhaul of the police department.

Saratoga Springs Public Safety Commissioner Tim Coll issued a statement Tuesday evening blasting the state Attorney General’s Office report regarding the city police’s response to protests in 2021, which he said will be released Wednesday.

A report from the Attorney General said Saratoga Springs police arrested people on false charges and used intimidation to stop Black Lives Matter protestors.
