Oxford Community Schools Superintendent Tim Throne has posted a statement on the district’s website in an attempt to tackle some of the allegations that the district failed to heed warning signs before the shooting that resulted in the deaths of four students.

The memorial will be removed Sunday, so anyone who wants to visit one last time is encouraged to do so through Saturday, Jan. 22.

Mutliple lawsuits have been filed accusing the school district and school personnel of not doing enough to prevent the shooting.

A statement posted by an Oxford schools official attempts to to clarify what the district knew before the Nov. 30 shooting that left 4 students dead.
