Fashion brand says it regrets ‘misunderstanding’ over photos taken before start of conflict

Video footage appears to show activists protesting at stores in Stockholm, Sweden and Madrid, Spain, holding effigies of dead babies and sticking posters with pro-Palestine slogans on store windows.

Some called for a boycott over the new campaign that some critics deemed insensitive to the human suffering in the Israel-Hamas conflict.

The ad campaign, which was called “The Jacket,” reminded some users of Palestinians in the rubble of Gaza. Zara said it shot the campaign before the war began.
