Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald said the parents of the suspect failed to keep a recently purchased firearm out of the hands of their son, who is accused of killing four classmates.

On Wednesday evening, 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley was moved to the Oakland County jail after previously being held at a juvenile detention center.

Oakland County Prosecutor said based on the investigation, she is charging the 15-year-old accused shooter in the deaths of four students, among other charges.

"I want to err on the side of caution," said Judge Carniak in recommending Crumbley be moved to the adult facility. "This should be done to protect other juveniles, he will be in isolation with contact only from sheriff deputies."
