SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The NBA has suspended Warriors forward Draymond Green for five games without pay following Tuesday night’s altercation, the league announced Wednesday evening. The NBA has suspended Golden State's Draymond Green for five games for grabbing Minnesota's Rudy Gobert around the neck “in an unsportsmanlike and dangerous manner,” the league said Wednesday night. Also penalized by the league for their roles in the incident, which happened early in Tuesday's game between the Timberwolves and Warriors, were Gobert, his Minnesota teammate Jaden McDaniels and Golden State guard Klay Thompson — all fined $25,000 by the league.

Here's how NBA Twitter reacted to the brawl between Warriors and Timberwolves players.

Karl-Anthony Towns’ 33 points led the Wolves to a gritty comeback win after Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels were ejected less than two minutes into the game.

The NBA has walked a tightrope with Draymond Green, recognizing the fire with which he plays and the unsportsmanlike activities he has committed.

Edwards led Minnesota to a 4-0 record while averaging 31.3 points per game.

Minnesota got 33 points from Anthony Edwards, 21 points and 14 rebounds from Karl-Anthony Towns and five blocks from Rudy Gobert to take down Steph Curry and Golden State.

The Cleveland Cavaliers stayed poised when things turned testy, and that showed J.B. Bickerstaff plenty about his team at this early stage. Donovan Mitchell got the best of Golden State and Draymond Green, finishing with 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals on a night Green was ejected, and the Cavs beat the Warriors 118-110 on Saturday. Green pushed Mitchell with his shoulder and sent him out of bounds as Cleveland’s Caris LeVert drove for a layup.

It wasn’t pretty, but the Anthony Edwards and Timberwolves took down Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs en route to their first In-Season Tournament Victory
