STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. It’s almost time to ring in 2021!
But kicking off the new year won’t look the same as the New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square will go virtual this year amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The organizers of the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square announced in September that, while the ball will still drop, it will be a “virtually enhanced celebration,” according to a press release from the Times Square Alliance.
