The Tinley Park Village Board on Tuesday will issue a proclamation recognizing the Illinois Air and Army National Guard for its contributions to the first COVID-19 mass vaccination site at the Tinley Park Convention Center.The Village opened the site, which was the first in the State of Illinois, in January 2021. The Illinois National Guard helped to set up, man and operate the vaccination site in partnership with the Village, the Tinley Park Police and Fire departments, and the Tinley Park Emergency Management Agency.
