Montreal is planning to revamp its nightlife, but not without first sparking some lively debate. Set for public consultation in February, the city's draft policy aims to energize its after-dark scene, drawing lessons from successful pilot projects like the MTL 24/24 all-night parties.

Montreal is gearing up for a record-breaking 36-hour party from May 19 to 21, bypassing the last NON STOP shindig by an astounding seven hours. The event promises continuous celebration and bar service, brimming with high-energy music, a vibrant atmosphere and, for the first time, a free outdoor show.

Montreal's next all-night party is raising the bar (literally) with 36 consecutive hours of drinking and dancing — a full seven hours longer than the last NON STOP event. The overnight festivities from May 19 to 21 will feature a slew of international DJs and a free outdoor stage at the Grand Quay in the Old Port with spectacular panoramic views of the St. Lawrence River and the city.

Over a dozen Montreal bars are keeping the lights on and the drinks flowing all night for Nuit Blanche and now you can stay lit along with them. MTL 24/24, the organization behind the city's epic 24+ hour NONSTOP parties with extended bar service, is collaborating with the Société de développement du boulevard Saint-Laurent to keep Montrealers entertained for longer at some of the Main's most popular watering holes.
