Jewish National Fund-USA recognizes May as “Women’s Month” and celebrates the accomplishments of all the women who make a difference for the land and people of Israel.

A group of philanthropic “wonder women,” including several from Denver and other parts of Colorado, recently participated in Jewish National Fund-USA’s Queen of Sheba Mission to Israel, where they witnessed firsthand the incredible work the organization is doing for the land and people of Israel while making memories that will last a lifetime.

Martin David “Marty” Kurland, who entertained children as Happy the Clown and made appearances at the White House in this role, died of heart disease Oct. 26 at his Pikesville home. He was 86.

Mowers invention has helped countless heart patients enjoy longer and healthier lives.

One of the Dr. Morton “Mort” Mower’s major commitments was in support of Jewish National Fund-USA’s affiliate, Nefesh B’Nefesh, through the creation of the Toby & Mort Mower Pavilion at the organization’s new Jerusalem campus, which has already seen thousands of Ukrainian refugees pass through its doors.
