From Bloomberg: The fintech will partner with Coinbase for custody and exchange of digital assets, with the offering rolling out first in the U.S. New York-based Alviere, headed by Northeast Ohio entrepreneur Yuval Brisker, plans to later introduce crypto in international markets. Christopher Gorman says financial technology ventures are going to be a part of the fabric of banking for the future — and Key will be a part of that future.

North Coast Ventures, the Cleveland-based investment fund that already has invested $60 million in young businesses, tapped more than 200 investors to create two new funds. It hopes to invest in at least 30 companies.

Todd Federman runs North Coast Ventures, an early stage technology investment fund that focuses on Northeast Ohio startup companies. The Cleveland-based group of about 350 people has invested over $75 million in startups over the past 15 years. Federman joins us to discuss some of the successful companies here in our region that North Coast Ventures has helped create, the current environment for startups, and the investment fund’s outlook.

One of the investments will be the basis of a new collaboration between JumpStart Inc., the Cleveland-based nonprofit business accelerator, and University Hospital Ventures, the innovation and commercialization arm of University Hospitals.
