The Last Laugh: My obligatory New Year’s resolutions column
Commissioner Herb Buddinski from the California State Office of Columnist Content has contacted me each year around this time to issue a reminder that, as per state law, I must write a column about New Year’s resolutions. As New Year’s Day actually falls on a Friday, one of the days my columns are published, he was insistent that it be today.
I was resistant as the Back in the Day column I had originally scheduled to submit for today (an interview with the Waving Chief Solano Statue about how much it hurts his feelings when birds poop on him) would have become an instant classic.
