Unfortunate scenes in illinois and arkansas, griff. griff: fox weather nicole valdez in coralville, nicole, thank you very much. jacqui. jacqui: south and midwest begin cleanup, more severe weather could be on the way. meteorologist adam klotz has your fox weather forecast from fox weather center. what are you seeing, adam? adam: threat for severe weather is same line that we saw through sweep through yesterday. last 24 hours. this is what the threat setup looked like yesterday evening. you saw bulls eyes there and each one is a tornado report over the last 24 hours. what is the forecast look like today, well, moving to towards the east. areas particularly mid atlantic and northeast stretching to midwest and down along the coast and then the southeast more areas where you could see severe weather before the day is over. here is what we are currently
Rego as we move into the next 24 hours, as the system ramps back up. many tornado report, and hail. we can expect more with this line through the rest of the morning and the afternoon, as it pushes through the southeast. and the rain, not only dealing with severe weather, but causing a threat for flooding new orleans all the way to the ohio river valley. some of the areas in the lower mississippi valley have picked up four to six inches of rain. that s estimated. but one to two inches expected with the line as it moves through. not only flooding but the wind. we have wind advisories and high wind warnings from the tennessee to the ohio river valley. we can expect wind gusts over 60 miles per hour. and the colder side of things.
And you notice the rainfall amounts will begin to ddiminish. the lone tornado report in the country, this sho show you how inclement the weather has been. but thunderstorms at this moment just north and east of charleston in the last couple hours, across bowling green as well, so well to the west and east of the region. areas across eastern kentucky hard hit regions and you notice the area that is seeing the heavy rainfall outside of that zone. but the threat zones for portions of kentucky now a slight risk. there is a moderate risk including southern areas of illinois where they have seen heavy rainfall, another round of it possible. but notice as we go into wednesday, the entirety of much of kentucky here is removed from that flood concern. so we do expect weather conditions to at least improve. again, eastern kentucky right here, here is the radar indication right now showing you much of the area forecast to
