MADISON, CT Tuesday and for the remainder of the week, Polson Middle School students and staff, including seventh and eight-grade class teams, were moved to full remote learning due to staff shortages, schools superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke told families late Monday.
Cooke said the temporary shift to remote learning was necessary to ensure continuity of learning for students as we deal with staffing shortages due to quarantines.
Meanwhile, at the Town Campus Learning Center, the district s preschool, a school community member tested positive for COVID-19 on Jan. 17, Cooke said. That person, whether student or staff is not clear, was told to remain home and quarantine. As a result, one class has been quarantined.
