街路樹折れ、船の欠航で品薄のスーパーも 台風接近で不安な夜 宮古島・八重山

宮古島市平良東仲宗根のサンエーショッピングタウン宮古食品館では、魚や肉類、乳製品などが陳列棚から姿を消した。担当者によると、１８日から台風に備えてまとめ買いをする客が増えているという。
一方で、船の欠航が相次いで商品の入荷が追い付いていない。台風で停電することが心配とし「自家発電もあるが燃料も限られている。停電しないよう祈っている」と話した。
宮古島市と石垣市の避難所には１人暮らしの高齢者らが身を寄せた。宮古島市役所を訪れた８６歳の男性は「古い住宅に住んでおり１人でいるのは危ないと思った。ここで安心して過ごせそうだ」と述べた。
