PNA photo MANILA - The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) resumed operation on Tuesday afternoon after signaling trouble caused the rail service to be briefly suspended before noon. In an advisory, the MRT-3 announced that full train operations have resumed between North Avenue Station and Taft Avenue Station at 12:45 p.m., with 17 trains running. In a separate statement, Sumitomo Corporation -the maintenance provider of the MRT-3- gave an apology for the "brief suspension" of the rail service. "Our contractor has already submitted the error data to the system provider, for commencement of detailed analysis," Sumitomo said. It assured that a "thorough investigation" will be conducted to find the cause of the problem and to take all necessary countermeasures to ensure safety at the MRT-3.
