We begin tonight with that developing situation in San Franciscos jails. Multiple attacks over the last two weeks now leading to a lockdown. All weekend. No visitors allowed at two jails as deputies investigate. Good evening. Im dionne lim, the Union Representing deputies is now calling for the National Guard to help in the jails, a move the Sheriffs Office says is premature. Abc seven News Reporter j. R stone looks at the staffing issues the union says are the source of the problem. All eyes are now on two San Francisco county jails. This location on seventh street in San Francisco and this location in san bruno. Its a scary time. I mean, weve had nine attacks in three weeks on deputies, theres been prisoner fights. Theres been civilian staff injured. This is a really violent time.
