For the third quarter of 2021, purchases in the Central American region of beauty and personal care products increased by 28% to reach $413 million, with Mexico being the main supplier of these products with a sales value of $123 million.

During the third quarter of 2021, an increase of 22 % was observed, reaching $640 million in exports of fresh, refrigerated and frozen beef, however, in volume it only represented a 2 percent increase, reaching 125,448 tons.

A cut-off for the first quarter of the year shows a relevant figure in the health and medicine sector for the Central American region and the Dominican Republic.

Purchases of yarns and textile inputs as of September 2021 in the Central American region represented a 38% increase in volume, reaching 67,548 tons with a value of $245 million, with Salvadoran companies being the main importer.

In the third quarter of 2021, the volume sold of metallic minerals in the Central American region reached 2,731,659 Tons with a value of $2,176 million, being Panama the main exporter with $2,032 with main destination to China.

The value increased in the purchase of corn during the third quarter of 2021, however, the main supplier was the United States of America with 92% of sales with a total value of $965 million.

By the third quarter of 2021, gold exports in the Central American region increased by 387% reaching $310 million in sales, the main destination being the United States of America.

In Costa Rica, the construction of a horizontal residence is planned for 138 residential units in a 32,000-square-meter area.

By September 2021, the plastics sector recovered to reach a value of $343 million, equivalent to 104%, where the main supplier is the United States with 41% of the regional market.

For the second quarter of 2021, camera imports in Central America increased by almost 50% to reach $42 million, with China as the main supplier in the region.
