Gainesville police this week reported more speeders and crashes along West University Avenue, including a DUI for the first time since increasing its traffic enforcement presence on the road in late January. Traffic citations on University Avenue drop last week Gainesville police reported a significantly lower number of citations, warnings and speeders along West University Avenue between Southwest 34th and 13th streets last week as it diverted more of its resources to another area.
