The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a red and orange alert across states, predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR received heavy rains Wednesday morning, leading to waterlogging in many areas.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a ‘red’ alert in Raigad, Pune, Satara and Ratnagiri districts for July 26. An ‘Orange’ alert was also issued in Mumbai, Palghar and Thane
It issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the districts of Thane, Raigad, Pune, and Palgarh. 'Orange' alert has been issued for Mumbai and Ratnagiri.
IMD issues red alert: The weather department shared satellite imagery to show the moderate to severe convection over Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, and adjoining areas of interior Maharashtra, Rajasthan, South Madhya Pradesh and Telangana.
