It turned out that someone had pulled the chain in the train and as a result, its jammed wheels emitted smoke triggering the rumours about a fire.

Bhopal: Panic gripped passengers of Bhopal- Delhi Vande Bharat Express when a minor fire broke out in one of the compartments in Bina on Monday morning.

A fire on the train tracks at an MBTA station in Boston forced the use of shuttle buses on a section of the line early Thursday and had firefighters manually carrying cans of water to fight the flames, officials said.

All passengers had deboarded the train and no injuries were reported.

When firefighters arrived there was heavy smoke and fire in multiple rail cars.

After some passengers pulled the chain, it came to a halt and the people swiftly vacated the coach, with some jumping out of windows.

In the early hours of Thursday, a fire broke out in a coach of the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train. The train was halted at the Kannur Railway station when the incident took place.

According to police, the train from Alappuzha was stationed at yard no. 8, close to platform no. 3, when around 1.45 am, the station master was alerted of a fire that broke out at the general compartment of the Executive Express.

The fire broke out after all the passengers had deboarded and therefore no one was injured
