For several survivors of the Odisha train accident who arrived here on Sunday in a special train, the trauma they endured is unlikely to dissipate soon and it was more than shock and disbelief for them.
Indian Railways on Monday has started running passenger trains on the tracks in Bahanaga village in Odisha s Balasore, more than 51 hours after the triple train collision.
An on-leave NDRF jawan travelling on the Coromandel Express was perhaps the first person to alert emergency services about the train’s accident in Odisha’s Balasore before he joined initial rescue efforts, officials said.
Odisha government on Sunday clarified that it has no intention to hide the deaths in the Odisha triple train crash and the entire rescue operation was being conducted in a transparent manner.
