Ready, set, crawl. The Brew Crew’s monthly pub crawl kicks off from the Laxalt Plaza next to the Nugget and includes up several downtown area taverns and restaurants. If your new year’s resolution includes volunteering, the Muscle Powered Trash Mob is a quick, but mighty, helping hand.

What better way to celebrate Earth Day and Earth Week than gorgeous weather that you just can’t help but enjoy. Join Muscle Powered and our Parks and Recreation Department at the Silver Saddle Ranch for a presentation and trash mob. Kids will love the Carnival at Bordewich Elementary School, and it helps raise funds for a local Cub Scout Pack.

You may consider Muscle Powered a hiking and biking organization, and you wouldnt be wrong. But Muscle Powereds motto is "Walk, Bike, Build," and it is the "Build" part of the motto that is sometimes overlooked. With the official opening of the Ash to Kings Trail last season, the building aspect of Muscle Powereds motto was highlighted.

This Saturday morning 19 intrepid Carson City area "Trash Mobbers" came out in the drizzle to pick up what others left behind. We met at the south end of North Lompa Lane and everyone spread out along the Multi-Use Path to gather nearly 600 pounds of trash from that point south to 5th street.
