Rocket City Earns Split After Hitting Five Home Runs
Lookouts Fall By 9-6 Final As Trash Pandas Never Lose Early Lead Sunday Sunday, June 27, 2021 - by John Hunt
There were no late-inning comebacks for the Chattanooga Lookouts on Sunday afternoon at AT&T Field.
They had a miracle rally on Friday when they overcame a 9-0 deficit to beat the Rocket City Trash Pandas by a 10-9 final, but they weren’t able to pull it off in the final game of the six-game series when each team won three games.
Rocket City hit two home runs in the first inning for an early 3-0 lead and five for the game and the Trash Pandas never trailed as they improved to 25-22 with the 9-6 victory.

The Trash Pandas ended a rough road trip with a much-needed win.
Rocket City defeated Chattanooga 9-6 on Sunday thanks to a hitting showcase. The Trash Pandas crushed five home runs and tallied 17 hits in the win.
Mitch Nay, who has been red-hot lately, pounded two long balls to enter a tie for most in the Double-A South with 12.
Nay, MacKinnon and Aviles Jr. all recorded three-hit games.
On the mound, Cooper Criswell struggled but picked up his fifth win as timely hitting kept the Trash Pandas ahead.
Homeruns, Strikeouts, And A WIN - Lookouts Triumph 8-6 Saturday, June 26, 2021 - by Joseph Dycus
Home runs, strikeouts, and walks. These three outcomes rule modern baseball, for better or for worse. Trash Panda starter Reid Detmers struck out a whopping 16 batters in only six innings of work? That’s great, right?
Well, he also gave up three home runs and five earned runs in the Lookouts 8-6 win against Rocket City. Such is the nature of America’s pastime in 2021. Played under cloudy skies, the Lookouts struck out 19 times but still came away with the win.
Ray Patrick-Didder used his blazing speed, and some subpar Lookouts fielding, to get on second after a grounder to third went awry. He came home after David MacKinnon dropped a line drive in front of center fielder T.J Hopkins. For the second time in as many days, the Trash Pandas went up before the Lookouts had even had a chance to take a swing.
