Otsego County Corrections Officers Add to Life Saving Skills Otsego County Corrections officers have acquired some new life saving skills thanks to the National STOP THE BLEED program and Bassett Medical Center. This program aims to provide training on how to help stop a severely injured individual from bleeding. Students are taught three quick actions to control serious bleeding: how to identify this type of bleed, proper tourniquet use and some cleaver adaptations when a tourniquet is not readily available.
