The sky is partly to mostly cloudy at this hour. There is no rain in the state. The temperature range is incredible! The cool spots are Groton, Chester, Norwich, and Plainfield where the current temperature is 46 degrees. Meanwhile, the temperature in Danbury is 64 degrees! It is 52 in New Haven, 52 in Waterbury, and 54 in Hartford. It is all about the wind. Danbury has a south-southwesterly breeze at 6 mph. This is keeping the sea breeze from reaching far Western Connecticut. Meanwhile, the sea breeze has really knocked temperatures down across most of the state this evening.
Showers will develop toward morning, and roads will be wet in many parts of the state for the morning commute.
HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - Winter Storm Bailey continues to wind down after dumping a foot of snow on some parts of the state.
Flakes started flying in Fairfield County around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Snow continued on, reaching central parts of the state by 7 p.m., which led to statewide snow cover by 8 p.m. Road conditions then deteriorated.
By Thursday morning, Winter Storm Bailey dumped anywhere between 10 and 15 inches of snow across most of the state. Southeastern Connecticut saw 4 to 8 inches.
Snow became heavy at times, and even came down at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour at some points.
