Tuesday afternoon update: The man accused of shooting a gun at an Austin police officer on Christmas Eve was arrested Tuesday morning in Leander, according to authorities.
Police said 41-year-old Louis Rhyne was arrested around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Crystal Falls Parkway and Horizon Park Boulevard in Leander.
Anonymous tips provided to Crime Stoppers helped authorities find and arrest Rhyne, according to police.
No other information was made available Tuesday afternoon.

2:30 p.m. update: Authorities say they have found the car used in a shooting early Christmas Eve that targeted an Austin police officer.
Police found the car crashed and abandoned in an apartment complex parking lot, according to authorities. The driver has not been found, police added. Austin police shared details in a written statement Thursday afternoon.
The shooting occurred shortly after midnight, in the intersection of Travis Green Lane and Hero Drive in Southwest Austin, according to police. An officer tried to make a traffic stop on a car that had duct tape covering the license plate, police said.

AUSTIN, Texas Local officials have arrested the man accused of shooting at an officer in southwest Austin on Christmas Eve morning.
Louis Rhyne, 41, was arrested on Dec. 29 on the 10700 block of East Crystal Falls Parkway in Leander after anonymous tips delivered to Capital Area Crime Stoppers.
Investigators previously signed an arrest warrant for Rhyne, who is facing charges for aggravated assault on a police officer. His bond is set at $1 million.
According to police, this charge is in addition to three outstanding felony warrants for motions to revoke personal recognizance bonds for burglary of a vehicle with two or more prior convictions, theft of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department says it is searching for a suspect who shot at an officer.
APD says an officer responded to an alarm call near Travis Green Lane and Hero Drive in southwest Austin on Christmas Eve around midnight. When the officer arrived and while in his patrol car, he noticed a vehicle with duct tape obscuring its license plate drive by a nearby home.
