EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - Following Wednesdays announcement that a father and son, David Scott Smith, 66, and Travis Shane Smith, 32, had been arrested on suspicion of starting the Caldor Fire, the El Dorado County District Attorneys Office (DA) has filed criminal complaints against them.

Both David Smith, 66, Travis Smith, 32, of Folsom are facing multiple felony counts, which includes both facing a charge of possessing a silencer.

David and Travis Smith will be arraigned Friday for reckless arson. Attorney Mark Reichel says no evidence has been presented against them yet for starting the Caldor Fire.

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. A father and son are now under arrest, accused of reckless arson in connection with the Caldor Fire, the massive wildfire that burned more than 200,000 acres in El Dorado and Amador Counties.

After David Scott Smith and his son, Travis Shane Smith, were arrested a day earlier, prosecutors filed several felony charges against them Thursday.
